Cops to hold presser on valuation of items seized from Najib-linked residences

Federal commercial crimes director Amar Singh is scheduled to hold a press conference tomorrow on the items seized from residences linked to their investigation into former premier Najib Abdul Razak and 1MDB.

In a media alert this afternoon, the police said the press conference would be held at the commercial crimes department office in Menara KPJ, Kuala Lumpur, at 11am.

“PC is related to the valuation of the items seized,” read the alert.

On June 14, Amar said police are still evaluating the items seized from three units at the upmarket Pavilion Residences in Kuala Lumpur on May 18.

He was responding to a China Press report that police have completed their estimation with regard to the items, which included 433 branded watches, whose total value is RM80 million, with one particular watch valued at RM3.5 million.
